In addition, history students obtain summer internships off campus at places like Gettysburg National Park, their local state's attorney's office, and Wall Street.

Other students take advantage of the amazing professional development opportunities offered through the Illinois in Washington Program, where students obtain an internship in DC, working anywhere they have an interest, like the Smithsonian, the Library of Congress, or an NGO. They get Illinois credit in Political Science and lots of networking with our alums.
